Tracker should have a single story view to make link sharing more efficient
Clicking a link to a tracker story can be a huge pain because it loads the entire project, and browser performance almost always takes a huge hit. Pivotal should create a new view that displays only one story at a time, and give users access to a copyable link to the new page to improve story reference ability over email and IM.

Inappropriate?It would be awesome to have a way to view a single story full screen. This would be great for developers who wanted to focus on a particular story, and it'd also be nice as the default view for when you click-through on a story URL.

Inappropriate?Hi. We use linking to single story as message when we tag our SVN commits. When others want to view the stories, they will have to login to Pivotal (which is fine) and wait for the whole project page (with hundreds of stories) to load (which is not fine) and then only loads the individual stories.
Can we have a page for each story for linking instead since it would be less bandwidth intensive to do so? Thanks

Inappropriate?I strongly disagree with this one, the whole revelation of pivotal is the single screen interface. It would be annoying to follow a link only to find you can no longer easily see the rest of the project.
The story link feature could use a lot of bug fixing though, I often get issues where the story doesn't open or get scrolled to for some reason, I think because it is in a past iteration or something?

Inappropriate?EvilPuppetMaster - the single story view would be an optional view, not the default. It would make tracker usable on mobile devices, and GREATLY improve the loading time for accounts that have large backlogs or iceboxes.
Loading a story can take 30+ seconds using a modern machine/browser, and minutes on a less sophisticated device.
