Tracker is very slow when there are a large number of accepted stories
There seem to be two problems that contribute to the issue:
1) Links to all tracker stories (even those in progress) automatically sets include_all_iterations to true, meaning it can take a long time to load the page
2) There's no easy way to archive a selection of stories from a project. We have close to 2500 completed stories in the 'done' category, which seems to have an impact on the performance on the project.

Inappropriate?Hi Jim,
A lightweight story page and the ability to archive stories are both on our short list of features to do in in the near feature, but we don't have specific dates on when yet.
In the meantime, we'll see if we can add quick fix to the current linking process to be a little more intelligent about when it needs to load all the done iterations.
Sorry for your frustration,

Inappropriate? It seems like tracker could be smart about lazy loading the content of Done iterations. Attempting to expand them would pull the content needed for them.

this is one of the best points

Inappropriate? The project I'm working on has a total of 3235 stories, on a different thread somebody suggested exporting the backlog to a new project, but that isn't really a sustainable solution.
Lazy loading those old stories, if it would make our project more responsive, would be very helpful.
Obviously, we aren't about to stop using Tracker ...please make the pinwheel go away.
I’m wow that's a lot of stories!

Inappropriate?Hi Jim,
I just wanted to let you know that we made the current story linking process a little more intelligent. It now only loads additional done iterations when necessary. This should be help of some help until we complete a lightweight story view page.
