Some suggestions on default behavior for the activity feed:

If the feed is enabled for one project in the account, new projects should be included in the feed by default
Make the option to enable the feed more obvious
Allow users to include chores in the feed or not, to tailor for developer vs. PM feed

This idea came from the wonderful users at our second SF Tracker Users Group.
