RSS Feed to display backlog in another system
I just discovered Pivotal Tracker and it seems to be the solution to our problems. Two integration questions:
- We are moving to the Kayako Help Desk. Is it possible to use the current integration features to get Kayako issues into Pivotal Tracker without programming?
- I'd like to display the current iteration and backlog lists separately and in the order they appear on the PT page in another system (Mindtouch Deki). RSS seems to be the ticket, but the current action subscription doesn't do it. Is there something else to subscribe to that would simply provide the user stories and estimates in the order they appear in the Iteration and in the Backlog?
Thanks,
Ruedi

Inappropriate?Hi Ruedi, glad you've discovered Tracker!
With the existing integration features, you would need to do a bit of programming, and that would be to expose Kayako issues as xml that Tracker understands, on a URL. You could also write a script that uses the Tracker API to push stories into Tracker.
Same goes for exposing the backlog - you'd need to use the API (it allows you to get the entire backlog as xml). We'd like to add more RSS support in the future, beyond what's there now. -
Inappropriate?Looks like another alternative is to use E-mail to get new issues into Tracker. Not sure it's easier, since I don't understand the instructions for the add-on. ;-)
