Please make the emails stop!
Sometime in the last 24 hours, Pivotal Tracker started emailing me on every comment. Help!

Inappropriate?New comment notifications are going to every member of out team. We'd prefer them to only go to the ticket owner and requester.

Now that I think about it, it'd be ideal to be able to choose which members of the team receive the comment notifications. -
Inappropriate?Totally agree... its too many emails that just bog down my inbox and keep me from getting work done... Emails to owner and requester only works just fine!

Inappropriate?Yes the ability to select who gets emailed for each card would be nice. Or just making this feature optional would also be great. But I agree with Erin, I am now going to be ignoring my PT emails and will most likely miss the ones that actually pertain to me.

Inappropriate?Thanks for the feedback, we'll make the email notifications more configurable, allowing you to be notified about comment to your stories only (as before), or all stories. We'll introduce per-project notifications settings as well. Watch for this change within the next few days.
In the meantime, you can disable comment notifications on the My Profile page. -

Inappropriate?Dan, not sure you understand. This behaviour changed on your end. Please just put it back the way it was, which was fine. I do want emails for comments on stories where I am the requester or the owner, or have made a comment before. I don't want comments for everything. I don't need it to be more configurable, I just want it to go back to what it was before. Please just put it back, then go ahead and make it configurable if you like. Thanks!

Inappropriate?Hi Ted, sorry for not being clearer. It was an intentional change, to increase visibility into story-specific discussion threads to the entire project team. Based on feedback, we'll put back the option to receive comment emails for only stories that you own/request/comment on, and make that the default setting. The ability to receive emails for all comment will remain as well (as an optional setting). Sorry for the inconvenience.

Inappropriate?We are having the same issue =( Suddenly a comment on a story is going to every member, viewer and owner on the project.

Inappropriate?We have lots of people that our members of our various tracker projects who really don't need to see every comment. Only a few people on the team would be even slightly interested in that level of notification.

Inappropriate?We've changed it back, comment notifications now go to the commented story's requester, owner, and anyone who previous posted a comment to the story. It's possible to enable notification of all story comments on the My Profile page. Sorry for the trouble, and we appreciate everyone's feedback.
