pivotal shows different velocities for teams in different timezones
We have a team of developers in India so I've set the timezone for projects they work on to Kolkata. The backlog comes from us in Canada and we have an online presence during meetings so when we're seeing different numbers than they are it can cause problems. Also, when I view there sprint stories that were completed last sprint are showing in the current sprint so the previous sprint ends up with 0 points. They appear in the proper sprint for the people in India but for me they don't. The sprints are set to start on Thursdays and the date completed date is correct (was for the Wednesday) but because the project uses Kolkata interface and the display uses the timezone for the user's locale there is a conflict.

Inappropriate?Hi, thanks for letting us know. This is a known issue, related to time zones and iteration boundaries, introduced in a recent release. We have it fixed, and will be deploying the fix over the weekend. Sorry for the confusion, hopefully you'll be able to live with it for another day? In the meantime, you can set your time zone (in My Profile) to that of the project, and you should see the same iterations.
