Move Stories to Project
Sometimes a project starts too broad and I need to move certain stories to a separate project. Something like export, based on label or ad-hoc selection, would be nice. Even better -- with a single step: "move to project"?

3You can now move stories to a different project via the Actions menu, details on that here:

We'll add the ability to drag/drop stories to the projects tab in the next release.

1Moving stories to another project is on our list of features to implement, but at this point we don't have any solid dates on when. However the more users show interest in the feature the faster it will move up the list. -

I'm interested in this. A quick solution would be to allow export of selected stories instead of entire project.
-
-
Export of selected stories will be a part of the next release of Tracker which should happen in the next week or two.

-
I would very much welcome this change

mark, glad to hear something is in the works. will this require export and then re-import to the new project, or will it do a straight transfer?

It will require export and re-import to the new project.

I would LOVE this feature. We have multiple teams each with their own Pivotal project because our iterations are different. However, there are many, many times where a story needs to move from one project to another. A "move to project" drop down would be so great! PLEASE...

I would also really appreciate this feature. I have quite a few projects running, and there have been several times when a story got added to one project, when in retrospect it really belonged in a different project. It would be nice if I could move a story from one project to another instead of having to re-create the story in the new project and delete the original version.

I'd like the feature too. Moving stories from one project to another is something that would come in handy very often!

I needed this feature several times until now, after one month using PT. The main cause is when I needed to splitt a project which was created to broad or just when I created a story in the wrong place erroneously.

We tried (and failed) to drag stories from one window to another with project A open in one window and project B open in another.

I really need this feature too - seems like something everyone would appreciate. Please please please!

I think a neat way to implement this would be to allow you to drag a story from your current project onto another project in the project tab bar (available via view menu). In a similar way to how in gmail you can drag emails to folders or labels.

Moving stories (especially bugs) to different projects would be huge for us. I hope you guys manage to get to this one :)

Just chiming in to see if there's been any light on this. We just broke our main project down into three smaller ones and this would have saved a lot of time.

-
I'm running a large agile transformation involving multiple teams. This would be invaluable.
Also ... it would let me use Tracker for GTD ;-) -

This is on our short list of features we'd like to add soon. Most likely, via the Actions dropdown.

We would like to be able to drag stories from one project to another. The export/import feature is far too complicated for just a couple stories, and we find ourselves wishing for this functionality frequently.
Another solution would be to have a 'move' option in a story, which would expose alternate projects

Tracker should enable drag and drop transfer of stories between projects. -

We have a management team that manages different groups of projects. Most of the stories we write are for the management team to do, but sometimes a story gets delegated to another team working on another project.
Would be cool if we can drag and drop the story into another project as shown.
When moved, the story looses all its metadata such as estimation, owner, requester..etc. Only keep the title and description.

I added a story under the wrong project. How can I move it to the correct project?

Allow Stories to be moved from one Project to another. We have Project queues for each of our work groups and it would make things much simpler to move a story from one group to another and the projoject moves through our process

This is HUGE, or as my kids say, "it's so BEAST!".
I've been waiting a long time for this feature. Thanks, PT! Now how about an official iPhone app? -

Nice work on this, good simple implementation, very helpful for how we develop using smaller subteams.
