Delete/Edit Comments
Sometimes a comment will have useful information in it, like a like to more documentation. If the other end of that link moves, I want to be able to edit the comment rather than adding a new one. Keeps down the noise level.

Inappropriate?yeh.. this is a real pain .. diff. ppl have diff. workflows -- there is no one workflow to rule them all
-
Inappropriate? This would be really good. Even during a story's often brief lifecycle we find there are comments that could be usefully removed or edited
-
Inappropriate?Another benefit is when a comment has typos that lead to confusion -- good to clear that up and avoid the confusion down the road.

Inappropriate?Much needed. Everything should be at least editable. Specially when multiple teams share projects. Sometimes things need a little translation or "editing", or sometimes you just need to erase it all together.
I’m hoping this go through

Inappropriate?I often need to update a comment I made just after adding it. And just now, I added a comment to the wrong story. I'd love to be able to edit/delete these comments. I don't need the ability to edit or delete other peoples' comments, but I'd be fine with that too.
After posting the above, I saw that GetSatisfaction lets me edit or delete a comment until 15 minutes after I posted it. That would be a great model for Tracker.

The time limit seems like a poor idea. I often want to edit or delete well after 15 minutes. -
Inappropriate?Since the comment section doesn't display the entire comment at once, I often need to edit my own comments for typos and clarity. This makes mistakes especially frustrating when they lead to ambiguity. I have to make an additional comment to append the original making communication via story comments unnecessarily cluttered.
I’m annoying my teammates with too many comments

You can drag the little gray bar that's just below the comment box to make it grow. -
Inappropriate?Or use Chrome/Safari which allows you to re-size the text boxes both vertically and horizontally. I also find that using another, dedicated browser for Pivotal makes the rest of my development (web developer, here) run smoother.

Inappropriate? We desperatelyneed this. Not only is it very confusing not being able to correct typos or broken links but it also happens quite frequently that one of us ends up posting a comment in the wrong story and it's impossible to get it out of there at the moment, which is really irritating at times.
We otherwise get along really well with Tracker, but this is quite a drawback..

Inappropriate?I agree. This is probably my biggest peeve in Pivotal, which is otherwise a great system. Just like descriptions, comments should be editable at an point in time, and they should also be deletable.
