Adding an account owner does not give permission to existing projects.
I added a new account owner to our account. I expected that this person would automatically be given permission to view all existing projects, but instead the person was given no permissions to any projects. When I tried to add the person to a project, PT thought the person was a new invite even though the person had already activated.
The workaround was to first add the person to the existing projects, then add them as the account owner.

Inappropriate?Adding someone as a account owner does not automatically add that person to all of the projects on that account. However account owners can add themselves to any project on the the account.
To do this. Go to the 'Dashboard' and click on 'Show All My Projects', then click on the "Project Details" link on the project you want to add yourself.
