Alright, I understand your point. We use the sprint planning meeting as an conceptual meeting, too. So, our customer will present each Story to the developer team and then the team commits to this story by moving it from the Backlog to the Current.
What about this compromise: Normaly, Tracker will switch to Auto-Mode after an iteration and makes an recommendation to what the team can commit to. But if you click on "Commit-Mode" than all Storys should go back to the Backlog. After this, the team can commit on each story.
It wouldn't be a problem to us, if we could group the stories and then click on Action->Move to top of Backlog. But this doesn't work in Commit Mode. -

Commit Mode set to Auto Mode after an iterationWe setup our project to be in Commit Mode. After every iteration the mode is switched to Auto Mode. This is quite confusing, because all of the backlog tickets will be moved to current.
Please store the value of the mode.
