Hi Mark,
Great questions. Frankly, I'm wondering if the better, more customizable solution for you is to query the API for the topics you're looking for, and then have your "backfill" topics cached and ready to go if there are no results. Our API returns JSON results, so it's very easy to format these on your end. Just an idea, and I'm happy to help you set that up.
In any case, we can certainly look at tightening up the way we're returning those matches so that you don't get errant results.

I took a quick look and you're using a Javascript library called JQuery. You're most likely seeing a conflict between that code and ours. It's probably a simple fix, but I don't know what it is offhand. I'll ask around.
One quick thought is that you may be able to use jQuery.noConflict() as described here:

A comment on the question "Employees getting added automatically" in Get Satisfaction:
Hi Ajay, as Geysa mentioned we're planning an update to the employee claims process in which instead of claim requests going to us they'll go to the admin of the community (e.g. you). This way, all new employees would have to be approved you. Or is it that you just want the link to not appear at all? – Thor Muller, on March 19, 2010 06:37

I just repaired your status, and refreshed the pages so that your employee badge appears properly on the previous topics where you've responded.
Please let me know if your employee status is removed again, and try to note know what you did just before the loss of privilege. This should never happen.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience!
A comment on the problem "FastPass Not Working - FastPass URLs passing the FastPass debugger" in Get Satisfaction:
Can you invite me into your app so I can see what is happening specifically? My best guess is that not everyone is hitting the page with the script tag before they enter the community, OR as Paul says, some of the fastpasses have incomplete data. They all contain usernames, correct? – Thor Muller, on March 12, 2010 20:21

A comment on the question "Invalid argument: token_url domain not in whitelist" in Get Satisfaction:
Our identity partner RPX maintains a whitelist of domains via which people can login. We just need to ensure that the domain in question has been properly added to the whitelist. – Thor Muller, on March 11, 2010 05:06
