:-) Doug absolutely not! We're actually planning to roll out as many classes as we find racers to fill them for these events. However to start with we wanted to keep it small and simple whilst we iron out the bugs/learn the quick lessons.We know that the folk who join now will not be backward in coming forward about issues!

We expect we'll have a pretty good handle on it by event 4/5. Once we're comfortable with the structure we'll then start scaling it across a number of series. – Jonathan, on March 18, 2010 02:14

Interesting idea, if you have some friends in the LFS community that support this, get them to click "i like this idea" then if we see more than 10 supports for it we'll take a deeper look at whether its possible.

HI Tally we're actually about to release a new event style this week which not only spreads the prize pool more in this fashion but also splits the pack into 2 classes, which will make the racing more gratifying for all concerned. thanks Tally Ho, we considered this for a while and ended up on "Marshalls" as "Stewards" was less well understood internationally. This is also the reason for the American spelling variant.

a good idea that we've been meaning to do for a while, we'll get this set up for trial when we roll out the regional servers.

Thanks all for supporting Fredik's idea its so much easier for us to identify key urgent community wishes when we see community traction behind ideas.

Thanks for your input. A variant of this concept, which we think you'll like, is in process. We're currently clearing out a few build issues but the first series style event will emerge in the not too distant future.
